Kids need activities to engage and keep them entertained while staying home. With online activities that won’t break the bank and increase the amount of valuable time that students are spending in front of their computer screens, this two-week camp is the perfect fit for your kids to learn coding and robotics without any prior experience. This camp is focused on creativity by exploring the limits of the Lego® WeDo. Students are guided through a lesson each session, proposing problems and solving them in their own creative way! This virtual camp is a pilot program. It will be guided online with an instructor through Zoom®. During this camp, kids will unlock the wonderful world of technology and learn to control robots with basic commands through participating and working on interest-based projects. This creates a fun class dynamic where we don't present the answers, but rather look for them together. While this camp was designed to engage your child, a committed adult or older sibling may need to assist your child in our effort to maintain a fun and educational environment. The $40 payment is due at time of registration. A deposit of $300 is required for use of the equipment, it will be fully refunded upon return of the complete kits. Deposit may be added as an additional item during check-out. Two activity kits: the Lego® WeDo and the Seasonal Kit, will be provided to complete the learning for this camp. We suggest registering quickly as each session is limited to only six students in this pilot program. We will keep a waitlist to determine additional offerings of this camp.
